A lawyer for Aisha al-Shater, daughter of prominent Muslim Brotherhood leader Khairat al-Shater, announced that the Emergency State Security Criminal Court had ordered her presentation to a medical committee comprising consultants in oncology, haematology and internal medicine to prepare a report stating the extent of her spinal cord failure.
The lawyer added that al-Shater has been in Al-Qanater Prison Hospital for several months. She demanded the court several times to release her to receive treatment outside prison.
The security forces arrested al-Shater on November 1, 2018. The Public Prosecution included her in case No. 1552 State Security of 2018. She was charged with several charges, including joining a terrorist group.
