Killing a soldier in the explosion of a military vehicle in Sinai

On Wednesday, an Egyptian conscript was killed by the explosion of a military vehicle belonging to the Egyptian army in the western North Sinai Governorate, east of the country.

Military medical sources in North Sinai said that a recruiter named Ali Hassanein, from the 21st Thunderbolt Brigade was killed by the detonation of a military vehicle near the village of Qasrout in the area of Bir al-Abd. The same sources added that the bombing also resulted in the serious injury of another conscript.

It indicated that the army forces are still carrying out combing operations in Bir al-Abd’s area, after ending the Sinai Province organization’s control, which is affiliated with ISIS, over several villages.
