Out of 189 countries, Egypt ranks 102nd in the United Nations Human Development Report

Egypt ranked 102nd in the Human Development Report, the most recent publication of the United Nations Development Program, according to per capita gross national income out of 189 countries.

The UN Human Development Report looks at the quality and sustainability of human development and how social inequalities, gender, and environmental performance affect countries. By taking inequalities into account using the “Human Development Index adjusted for inequality,” it was found that Egypt’s ranking decreased by nine places compared to its ranking in the Human Development Index. The report indicated that per capita greenhouse gas emissions are still high.
