A continual decline in coronavirus infections in Egypt

The Egyptian Ministry of Health has recorded 157 new infection cases of the new coronavirus (COVID-19) within one day, in a significant decline in the number of officially registered infection rates in the country. The number of officially registered infections in Egypt previously exceeded 1,700 daily in mid-June, but it has recently started to reduce. The Egyptian Ministry of Health added that 23 new deaths were recorded, which kept Egypt at the forefront of Arab countries in terms of the number of deaths. On Monday, the Ministry of Health and Population announced that 1,611 people who have recovered from the coronavirus will be discharged from hospitals, according to WHO guidelines.

The total number of COVID-19 infections that were registered in Egypt reached 94,640 cases on Monday. Among them 44,066 recovered and 4,888 died.
