Egypt Air suspends flights to China

Egypt Air announced it suspended flights to and from the Chinese city of Hangzhou
on February 1, and will suspend the flights to Beijing and Guangzhou from February
4 until further notice, to counter the spread of coronavirus in China.
The company said in a statement that the decision to stop flights at this time comes
as it is committed to the return of tourist groups currently in Egypt. The last Chinese
tourist group in Egypt leaves on February 4, according to Al-Mal newspaper.
The newspaper published a source in Egypt Air saying that the company is still
running 12 weekly flights to China.
The source said that Egypt Air has taken precautionary measures to isolate suspected
cases and has provided nose and mouth masks.
