Samsung has announced the closure of its factory in Beni Suef for 14 days as a precaution after it discovered that four of its workers had been infected with coronavirus. The company said in its statement that all workers in the factory are self-isolating at home under the supervision of the Ministry of Health. The Samsung plant in Beni Suef exports 85 per cent of its production to 36 countries around the world, and employs about 1,500 workers.

The Misr El-Mahalla and El-Nasr companies for textiles resumed work after 18,000 workers in the two companies self-isolated for a period of 14 days after several cases of coronavirus were confirmed among the staff.
